I am pleased to announce the release of GNU Ocrad 0.19.

Ocrad is the GNU OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program and library.

The homepage is at http://www.gnu.org/software/ocrad/ocrad.html

The sources can be downloaded from http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/ocrad/ http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/ocrad/ or from
your favorite GNU mirror.

This version is also available in lzip format. If your distro doesn't
yet distribute the lzip program, you can download it from
http://www.nongnu.org/lzip/lzip.html

The md5sums are:
e14dd0bd1fcab4fe9e6928f0f0de2751 ocrad-0.19.tar.gz
3828529aa78e324cebc6bd73afd915cd ocrad-0.19.tar.lz

This release is also GPG signed. You can download the signature by
appending ".sig" to the URL.

Changes in version 0.19:

  * A library interface has been added.

* The option "--crop" has been replaced with the similar but different option "--cut", which can accept coordinates taken from the ORF file.

* Recognition of files with a single character and without white space at the edges has been fixed.

  * Lintian warnings in Debian about man pages have been fixed.
