Hi all,
It just occurred to me that this ramdisk idea is a bit dangerous
for lilo, but not for grub.
Scenario:
(1) user installs the parted initrd on the root device, with /boot
on the root device
(2) user resizes root device. This moves /boot/partroot.img
(3) user forgets to reinstall lilo/grub.
(4) user reboots, and tries loading the parted initrd, and fails
(for lilo, but not grub).
I'm a bit out of touch with new distros... is everyone using grub
yet?
I guess users could install the partroot.img on a file system that
they won't be resizing.
Cheers,
Andrew
