adding an extended partition

Maybe this is a newbie question, but I've not found the answer.

In a lack of prevision, I partitioned my hard disk in
4 primary partitions : swap, fat32, and two ext2.
now I would like to add another ext2 partitions.

It's possible to add an extended partition covering
the current two ext2 partitions without losing the data ?
