Thanks - I've already spoken with him and he has already incorporated 
the changes
in Linux's fdisk as well as his web page.

If by DOS  partition tables you mean the fdisk partition table that is 
stored in
the MBR then yes.

The Solaris disk label and vtoc, which is stored at block offset 1-2 
inside the
Solaris partition is unaffected.
