A parted bug ??

I am not sure if this is a parted bug.

I had Windows 2000 on FAT32.
After I resize my fat32 boot partition with
parted(v1.6.16), windows 2000 can not be booted.
I checked BPB of fat32 bootsector, I found parted
change Sectors Per Track(offset 0x18) and Number of
Heads(offset 0x1A) to FF FF FF FF.
Then I modified the 4 bytes to 3F 00 FF 00 and windows
2000 can be booted.

Can anybody give me some suggestion? :p
