parted limitations (bug? Disk too big?)

Bought a 200GB disk.  Partitioned it with fdisk, partitions in cylinders, not 
MB.

Ran parted, which griped "This ext2 filesystem has a rather strange layout. 
Parted can't resize this (yet)."

The fs is ext3.

What do I do to get more information to you about why parted had the problem, 
so I can get information how to correct it?

p.s.

PLEASE generate man pages as you primary interface with us poor dumb losers.  

Info sucks big time (can't search the whole "page" as I can with a man page).

RTFM (not RTFI) is "the way".  Coercing 'info' is as uncool as coercing emacs 
(I do vi).
