Subject: | Linux Parted reboot error with 2.6 TB volume |
Date: | Fri, 10 Feb 2006 15:22:21 -0500 |
I have several production Linux file servers.
I have had a raid volume in each server 1.4 TB in size.
I formatted the volume first with Fdisk and then Mkreiserfs.
I am testing a new server with larger drives in my raid array…allowing a volume size of 2.6TB.
I now have to use parted to format my volume.
However whenever I reboot the server all the partition information and thus data is lost.
Am I missing something? Do I have to configure fstab or update some configuration so volume information will not be lost/overwritten on bootup?
