I hadn't realized I wasn't sending these to the list, sorry. I've
been bug hunting a bit with gmetadom. The std::string and
saveDocumentToMemory are fixes that affect us.

Hi Jeff, Artur,

I've just committed some fixes to gmetadom. The plan is to make them part
of 0.1.0 release, soon to come. Here is the summary:

- support for std::string in DOMString
- added saveDocumentToMemory method
- auto-detect the namespace that hash lives in
- use hash_map.h instead of hashtable.h

The correct sequence of commands to create the configure script after
checking out from the repository is

        aclocal
        autoheader
        automake -a
        automake -a
        autoconf

the second automake is not required, I think, but I like to see it running
without any warning. I would kindly ask you to try the version in the
repository, which most likely has something to be fixed yet. For example,
I couldn't test the autodetection mechanism for the namespace on GCC 3.1.

Regards,
luca
