Hello,

We are experiencing intermittent problems when trying to checkout software
that is in binary format. We are running RCS Version 5.7. We downloaded
and installed it on April 14, 2002 and haven't patched since then. Here is
our issue:

On occasion when checking out a binary file using the following command:

 co -r1.0 "XXGLPMCA.rdf" > "XXGLPMCA.rdf.out" 2>&1

We find that the file, that has been checked out, gets truncated by more
than half the bytes of the original file. We are running on an HP-UX
version 11.11 Superdome server, utilizing MC/ServiceGuard (failover). Two
situations are, forms will not compile because of the corrupted file and
reports cannot be opened because of the corruption. Have you had anyone
report a problem similar to this and can you offer any suggestions? Please
feel free to contact me with other questions or suggestions. Any info or
help will be greatly appreciated as we are experiencing this in our
production environment and are looking for a solution.

Thanks,
Debbie Meinert
