Hello,
I have tar (GNU tar) 1.13.25 from the SuSE 9.0 Linux distribution.
tar -x -f archive.tar -C directory
changes to directory before unpacking archive.tar, but
tar -x -f archive.tar -C directory --same-order
does not change to directory, instead archive.tar is unpacked in the current
directory. This is also true when --preserve-order or --preserve (which implies
--same-order) is used instead of --same-order.
Regards,
Karl-Michael Schneider
