Hello, bug-tar,
I just upgraded from 1.13.25 to the current 1.15.1 and noticed something
rather annoying: when (in my example) using the "--newer"-option, the new
version of tar outputs every file that is unchanged, resulting in thousands
of lines like:
/usr/local/bin/tar: student/F5.doc: file is unchanged; not dumped
My old version did not show this behavior.
Is there a way to suppress that? I found the "-v"-switch, but am still looking
for the "--quiet" one...
Sincerely,
