[Bug-tar] tar -C on windows

Hi,

  I’m trying to use tar –C option on a windows machine and I get the following error:

 

C: \GZIP>tar -cvf provatar.tar -C provatar file1.txt

tar: Cannot change to directory ♫: Invalid argument (EINVAL)

tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

 

my tar version is 1.12.msdos cause I haven’t found a newer one.

 

How can I solve this?
