Here ist the output you requested, Sergey:
tar126b -cf test_archive.tar yes --listed-incremental test_snar.snar --verify
tar126b: yes/: Cannot savedir: Not a directory
tar126b: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors
tar126b -cf test_archive.tar yes --verify
(No errors for second command.)
tar126b ist your GNU tar, that I needed to build for ubuntu under
another name, because I did not want to overwrite the original tar.
