Judging by the three recent postings it definitely is.  The change itself,
however, was made as an answer to requests from users who needed a way
to discern actual extraction errors from ones triggered by existing
files (and which are not errors at all).  Since apparently both
functionalities are required, I'm inclined to introduce another
option which would act as --keep-old-files does presently and then
restore --keep-old-files to what it used to be in version 1.22.

What do you think?
