I try to convert a texinfo file, which contains the following
directive:
@image{myimage}
into dvi and pdf formats using texi2dvi. The conversion into dvi format
(and subsequent conversion into ps format by dvi2ps) is successful, but
if I convert the same texinfo file into pdf format (using --pdf option),
texi2dvi says:
Error: pdftext (file myimage.pdf): cannot open image file
However, there are both files myimage.eps and myimage.pdf in my working
subdirectory; moreover, xpdf shows the file myimage.pdf correctly. If I
remove the @image directive, the conversion into pdf format is performed
successfully.
I use texi2dvi (GNU Texinfo 4.0) 0.43 and texinfo.tex 2000-11-09.08
under Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 for i386 (August edition).
Thank you,
