neither do I. But the makeinfo command seems to try to follow the
manual, so let's say the TeX code is wrong.
(It's easier to fix the TeX code then to look for a suitable formulation
for the manual ;-)
Patch attached.
BTW: it seems the bug has been there for a long time, at least from the
creation of CVS at savannah.
A related bug:
When I tested the behaviour of the makeinfo command, I discovered that
@itemize @c something
which should be equivalent to address@hidden'' without any arguments, doesn't
work correctly with makeinfo. Perhaps makeinfo lacks an equivalent of
\argremovec{,omment} macros.
I don't post any patch to makeinfo as I'm not familiar with its internals.
