Node names do not get printed in the printed copy of the manual, so
any markup commands are useless in them.
Well, they usually get printed as part of the @xref output, unless the
author takes the time to use three-argument @xref.
Also, forgetting about TeX, the node names show up in HTML. And HTML
can support @code and other such things. Same would be true for various
XML processors.
It would be "nice" to fully support @ commands in node names. I just
don't think there's any practical way to do it.
