you are nice. :-)  This forced me to look at it ;-)

I think we should use the same mechanism for @copying as for @macro
definitions.  We can reuse part of the @nacro code, eg. \scanmacro
\macrobodyctxt.
This would remove the fragile tricks with ^^M altogether.

I don't think I'll implement it anytime soon, writing it to my todo
list for year 2014.  ;-)
