I consider breaking after `.' and `/' not optimal. In many
situations, it looks like the end of a sentence. Being a regular
reader of the Sky&Teleskope magazine, I was first distracted when they
introduced URL breaks *before* the dot and the slash a few years ago,
but nowadays I think it's the best solution:
