Hi. I was playing around with Zebra today and noticed when using vtysh
that things that generate a lot of output (like show ip bgp) and thus
become blocked in more(1) cause bgpd to block. As a result, bgpd stops
sending keep-alives, ultimately causing the BGP sessions to timeout.
Pretty nasty behavior if one stays in 'more' too long analyzing the output.
It was happening frequently in my test configuration since I had lowered
the hold timer to 60 seconds (with the keepalive timer at 20 seconds).
Anyway, is there any work-around for this? This is a pretty fundamental
problem.
Zebra 0.93b, FreeBSD 4.8.
