"Success" means: The entire CERTI suite compiles without errors and the
resulting RTIG works for me (with FlightGear/VirtualAir over TCP).
Apparently having just a 384 Kbit/s network uplink is not sufficient to
run the simulation 'smoothly', but it perfectly serves as a test-bed
for long-distance/low-bandwidth scenarios.
