Comment:

 This is now implemented in trunk intarweb & spiffy. It will be made into a
 release soon enough if no new issues pop up.

 I'm not sure about secure connections yet; possibly {{{secure-
 connection?}}} should be modified to be a user-supplied procedure that can
 tell whether the connection is secure. Or something... Why does this web
 stuff suck so much?
