Why have we eliminated dynamic binding of lambda variables? Why
don't we allow you to take the car or cdr of (), or of a symbol?
Why are uncontrolled define-macro macros on their way out?
Because having them does more harm than good.

Uncontrolled use of threads is the same story.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign a working knowledge of RDF where
no such knowledge exists. Neither be cynical about RELAX NG; for in
the face of all aridity and disenchantment in the world of markup,
James Clark is as perennial as the grass. --DeXiderata, Sean McGrath
