 1. Have you set your clock (above happens if the source/make files
    are 'newer' than the current date/time).

    If not, try:

      touch `find . `
      make clean
      make

I have seen this problem quite a few times if your files are stored on an NFS-server, which is of the NETAPP-type. Dunno whether this applies here.

 Yes, its an issue on any network FS if all the machines on the net do
not sync their RTC with ntp.
