Hello again:
Since several weeks I was thinking about how to grown my debian-sf
platform if I have this necessity in the future.
I was evaluating how to do it but finally I decided to use
http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org/
I have now a small testing replica of my debian-sf installation, with a
LVS load balancer in a old Pentium 133:
Internet--LoadBalancer--debian-sf-testing
|
--debian-sf-real
Also I am testing QoS with HTB because I have a poor Internet
connection.
But in few days I will have
Internet--LoadBalancer---debian-sf-testing
|
--debian-sf-real
Initially without load balancing but I will increase the number of
redundant services. This is easy for services like DNS or static http
but for the rest I need to have more knowledge about debian-sf.
Also I want to put in the LoadBalancer an Apache with static pages for
advice that the site is doing maintenance if the debian-sf-reals fail or
if I have to do some big upgrade inside.
But reading about who uses LVS:
http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org/deployment.html
I found that sourceforge.net uses it. Well I think is a good choice.
Any comments?, any similar experiences?
BR,
Vicente
PD: Sorry again for my english...
