Details:

from a fresh git clone, after an autogen.sh && configure, makefiles are
created but 'make' fails on final denemo linking:

[...]
libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libsamplerate.la' or
unhandled argument `/usr/lib/libsamplerate.la'
[...]

as the generated configure script does not check for libsamplerate and
returns no error, the actual error may be in configure.ac file (but, as i'm
not an autotools user, i may not provide much help)
