Worse: I am trying with the latest git and get:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/rshann/git-denemo/localbuild'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

There have been no changes to the Makefile.am here for quite a while...

Can someone with some autoconf expertise step in and help?
