thinking about is how we can cope with the increasing number of commands

it exists, which is a great advantage.
At the moment I am working on title pages (involving include files in
the LilyPond output), this work would then benefit accordion shifts...
it's a vast world out there :)

If the bug you mentioned is not fixed perhaps you could submit a bug
report?
