Hi All--

While the 878 is being end-of-lifed, its replacements, the CX23880 and 
CX23881, grab at 10 bits.  The CX23881 is even cheaper than the 878s, at 
about $17 apiece at 1,000 qty.  First boards are showing up in Japan at 
¥10,000 ($80) apiece.

Open source driver code will start showing up in the next couple of months, 
as Conexant releases its modded code borrowed from a video project in which 
I'm involved.
