For those with an SDR-1000, there is an application in the src/gnu/python/hf
directory. Right now it can receive AM and SSB. You'll need python and
wxPython installed. Run it with ./hf.py
You can also see what it looks like even if you don't have the radio by running
./hfgui.py
I would appreciate help making the GUI look nicer, since I'm new to wxPython.
