I share your sentiment about the labeling.

Perhaps someone on the list (you?) would like to start by documenting
the typical command line options somewhere in the wiki?  

Like the rest of life, the reality of free software projects is that
nothing gets done unless somebody does it.  Said another way, it's a
volunteer community effort.  Since you care, and now have the
relevant answers at hand, perhaps you could contribute 10 or 15
minutes of effort to the wiki?

To create or edit pages on the wiki you'll need to login using the red
"login" link located near the top-right of any wiki page 
Login with user: guest, password: gnuradio and you'll be able to
create and modify wiki pages and create new bug/enhancement reports.
