Okay as someone suggested, it was possibly a timing issue.So, then I thought whats on my bus... and I have a webcam capturing images every second with the spca5xx driver.

Are you certain that the same programs are running on both machines and are sending the same messages?Suggestion: Use usbmon to see the data being sent (instructions in the kernel source file Documentation/usb/usbmon.txt).Alan Stern
