If you follow the instructions here, you should be able to do a "./bootstrap; ./configure; make" afterwards

There is one typo in those instructions: 

yum install PyQT4-devel qwt-devel qwtplot3d-qt4-devel

should be:

yum install PyQt4-devel qwt-devel qwtplot3d-qt4-devel

(Note the capitalization for PyQt4)
