Thanks, I am an idiot.I'm still having some form of problem, but it appears the grc file, the ID in the Options block need to be related, but grc does not enforce this. Running the generated python file by hand seems to work.
The problem occurred when I changed the ID in the options block, which seems to change the generated file name.
