Hi everyone,

anyone who's ever joined a GNU Radio developer's call knows we aren't
100% happy about the SIP technology we're currently using. We'd like
something that is easy to join and just works across the world.

For this reason, we will be trying a Google Hangout next time. If you
want to join, you have to be a member of the new GNU Radio G+ group, I
believe you can find the group at:
https://plus.google.com/communities/105194615257651755927

(It's public).

To join a hangout, you need to:
1) Have a G+ account
2) Install a plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/hangoutplugin

We're not after your information. You can sign up with a throwaway
account and use a name from Monty Python, as far as we're concerned.

Also, we're not planning to do a video conference. Audio-only, but we
like the fact we can share screens if required.

We believe this is much easier than installing and configuring a SIP
client for your device, and we've tried out the hangout before and know
it works quite well.

Remember, this is only a *test run*. If it doesn't work as expected, or
there are other legitimate reasons why we can't do this, we will try
other technologies or go back to our SIP call.

Hear you in a month,
MB
