Hi Sumit,

good news that unless you want to use controlport, this is not much of a
problem.

Bad news is that Thrift builds nearly nowhere consistently. Even
relatively "fast-moving" distributions like Fedora don't package the
latest version, and my interpretation (after reading the packaging
scripts) is that it's incredibly hard to make it build properly on any
system that isn't the one of the upstream maintainer. We try to be
better! But we sometimes fail.

So, this looks like a bug in apache-thrift, or more likely, its build
system, misdetecting some SSL/TLS library. I'm not quite sure how to
progress from here.
