The second part is what I was asking about.  For some reason my brain was stuck on the PDU CAR/CDR and having multiple vectors in the CDR.  I could completely do that since it's all generic anyway.  Could just make the CDR a tuple and stuff as many different types of uniform vectors as I want into the same PDU.

Yes, why not? you can register as many output message ports as you want, and you can also send as many Messages in the same step as you want, if that's what you want.
