NSConstantString does not recognize objectForKey:

when starting up my application Popup.app i get an alert panel and this error 
message: 

Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason: NSConstantString does 
not recognize objectForKey:

i even get that message with old versions of the program that used to work 
fine until i updated my gnustep installation from cvs yesterday. other apps 
(Ink and Gomoku) do not produce this error. When looking into NSApplication.m 
 activateIgnoringOtherApps()  i could not find any occasion of objectForKey 
being sent. i am a bit clueless as to what i could have done to make this 
error occur :| .
