Hey, I figured someone would pick this question up and answer it, but i saw
nothing on the mailing list, so i figured i'd give you an email (even tho, I'd
hope someone would have helped you by now!)
Its simple, just go:
defaults write NSGlobalDomain "Local Time Zone" "US/Central"
replacing, US/Central with your timezone...
and then as to the second guess, you forgot to compile and install back(the
backend)
just go into the core/back directory and do the usual ./configure && make &&
make install
