Hi,
I'm pleased to announce TalkSoup 0.80, a complete rewrite of the
former TalkSoup.
TalkSoup is a GNUstep IRC client that is completely implemented
with bundles and protocols. Even the output and input are
done via bundles so you could theoretically have a ncurses
output bundle as well as a gtk output bundle. (Currently
just the GNUstep bundle is implemented). Also, any number
of filter bundles can be used to change TalkSoup even further
by implementing everything from Highlighting to sending private
messages through Ian Jones' speech service. It really shows off
all the wonderful things that Objective-C and GNUstep support.
What does it support:
* Command History
* Server List
* Nickname highlighting when someone says your name or
any other specified words. (Highlighting bundle)
* Tab Completion
* Preferences
It really does work pretty well, and I as well as some other people
in the IRC channel use it exclusively with no problems or complaints.
Feel free to join us on irc.freenode.net in #gnustep
