Color wells, part 2

Dear GNUsteppers,

Thanks Nicolas for the tip about clicking on the border. One step 
forward, one step back. My color wells are on panels that are put in 
front of all window (called with window: nil). The color wells are on 
those panes, and when clicked pop up behind the panes and will not 
take focus. What to do?
