As an alternative to merging RIGS with RubyCocoa (which would effectively mean that RIGS goes away), I would like to suggest changing RIGS to be source-compatible with RubyCocoa. Does anyone have any applications that would be affected, or any thoughts about whether this is the right direction? Larry Coleman larryliberty@yahoo.com
Well, it boils down to ideology.....do we (you, really, heh) want to maintain RIGS and bring it in sync with RubyCocoa solely because the copyright is owned by the FSF, or would it be better to simply port RubyCocoa to GNUstep and maintain it?
I don't know the answer to either...I don't think there are very many people using RIGS, but if you're out there, please raise your hand in response to this!
