we use
ADDITIONAL_GUI_LIBS += -lTCSimpleDB -lgnustep-baseadd ...
and not the -framework stuff
be sure to have the libs linked to /usr/GNUstep/Local/Library/Libraries/
this is on macos 10.3.7, gcc 3.3 20030304
