I agree.

I think the only way to go is to put an integrated OS that "works"
asap. We dont need a lot of developers for that. Just keep a simple
design and test often. There should be no bugs. The themes and
configurability can be added later.

I dont know about everyone else here but  bigDesignUpFront never
worked for me at all.
