can you make KDE/Gnome icon theme specs integrate into Windows and Mac OS X?
Oops, I didn't even think of them.. Mac OS X shouldn't be a problem if make_services also collects information about installed apps. Aren't GNUstep apps on Mac OS X compiled with the native framework anyway and thus don't need any further treatment?
Windows, well, no idea. make_services could be extended to query the appropriate Windows APIs to get to the icons..
Correct me but I don't think their approach suites our bundle based file managements.
The icon hierarchy could be maintained within the bundle, like so:
Bla.iconbundle/
128x128/...
48x48/...
...
index.theme
Then already existing icon directories installed by KDE/Gnome could be
symlinked to and tadaa!
