I'm saying it is a bug if it shows menu windows as windows in the window list.   They shouldn't show up there.

Whether that's a bug in Metacity or GNUstep remains unclear.

That's weird, I would have thought this was a bug!  I've, briefly, used GNUstep with XFce and didn't have this issue manifest itself.
