I finally solved  the problem, seems that in the process of install gnustep I have installed to different versions of the gnustep-base package.
I install everything from scartch and is now working nicely

Finally I got the core and libraries for GNUstep working, at least the basic ones.
NO I have compiled all the dev tools and Gworkspace and SystemPreferences.
All the them compile and installed just fine.
I have also created the startup scripts for gnustep services and to setup the X system for gnustep, GSBoot.sh and GSXBoot.sh as seen here:
http://gnustep.made-it.com/BuildGuide/index.html#BUILDING.GNUSTEP
I run the script properly without errors but when trying to start GWorspace or SystemPreferences I got these errors:
pgp@upton|/user_data/ARCHIVE/GNUstep/System/Tools> ./GWorkspace
Unable to set up with [NSProcessInfo-debugSet]
Unable to set up with [NSProcessInfo-debugSet]
2009-10-05 16:56:30.757 GWorkspace[26725] NSObject.m:624  Assertion failed in NSAllocateObject.  Bad class for new object
./GWorkspace: Uncaught exception NSInternalInconsistencyException, reason: NSObject.m:624  Assertion failed in NSAllocateObject.  Bad class for new object

Any idea?
Also what is the best way to run the GNUstep desktop, something like this in the .xinitrc:

GWorkspace&
exec wmaker

Or there are better ways?
Thanks
