Hello Riccardo,

I only tried the local sockets. I knew a little about web programming. I
know nothing about sockets before. I should to study it deeply.

With my very old machine, it cannot run dual-systems. I have to stick with
Windows. Sorry for occupying your time to pay intention at my question. I
just expected that someone who has ever encountered the same problem as me
and knows how to handle it. Or, someone who would like to help me test the
code in the book on Windows XP. If those code runs well on other Windows
machine, It says that something wrong on my machine. I have an additional
laptop, it also runs Windows XP. My problem happens on both machines.

I have no any experience on Unix/Linux. So, it is not easy for me to figure
out what's going on on that platform.

And I know that Socket is part of GNUstep, perhaps I could study other
aspects of GNUstep. But I think that the Socket part of it is very
important, because now-a-days, web applications everywhere.

Best regards,

Xiaoming
