My assumption was, git-svn is just as fine as svn its self. Looks like
this assumption is wrong, git-svn doesn't follow svn links and the
GNUstep repo has many links. This one works better:
git svn clone http://svn.gna.org/svn/gnustep/tools/make/trunk make
