Let me clarify and amplify what I said previously, since I went ahead and did
a little more research. It appears that there is an error in the MSDN and
Rotor (Shared-Source CLI) docs with regard to the [Alt]DirectorySeparatorChar
and [Alt]VolumeSeparatorChar.
In the docs on the ECMA site itself, the definitions are correct:
"Path.DirectorySeparatorChar Field . . . The value of this field is a
backslash ('\') on Windows systems and a slash ('/') on Unix systems."
